The noises Buffy made and the way she moved spurred Wesley to move faster within her. Though he'd never hurt her, couldn't imagine ever doing anything that would hurt her, he wanted to hear her scream. He wanted to that knowledge that he was the man who made her feel this way - that he made her feel the way she made him feel that. There were times he wanted to scream from the rooftops that he loved Buffy Summers, that he would always love her.
There were times he wanted to make sure the whole world knew.
Soon, he felt her beginning to shudder and tighten around him, knowing that she was close. He was getting close as well, his pleasure rising with every stroke. A moment later, he was rewarded with her scream, and she clenched around him, trapping him. Her orgasm brought his on its heels. With a hoarse cry, he exploded within her, collapsing over her. He continued to twitch as she spoke.
Opening his eyes, he looked down at her. Had she just said...? Slowly, he slipped out of her and sat on the bed, pulling her over to sit on his lap, looking into her eyes. "You want to...you want to marry me?" he asked softly, cupping her face with his hand and rubbing his thumb across her bottom lip.
At one point, he didn't think he'd ever get married since his job, being a Watcher, was the center of his existence. It was all he had known. He had to focus on what he had to do and forget his own life and wants.
Until he had met Buffy. Now, she was his life. She was what he had prepared for, and she gave him so much more than he had ever dreamed. He didn't care that they were breaking tradition or that they weren't supposed to be like this. All he wanted now was in his arms.
"I think we should too," he told her before tilting her head to kiss her deeply.
Once the words were out of her mouth, Buffy grimaced. What in the heck was she thinking? Wesley wouldn't want to marry her. She was too young and a Slayer. Slayers rarely lived long enough to get married and have children. They weren't supposed to marry their Watchers, and she was pretty sure Wesley was going to laugh at her.
When he sat up and pulled her to his lap, she waited for him to let her down. Buffy looked at him and opened her mouth to tell him to forget about it when he spoke first. Wait, what? Wesley wanted to marry her? "You better not be teasing me. I can kick your butt all over the place, you know," she said, giving him a stern look.
But, when he kissed her, Buffy suddenly knew he was being serious. Breaking the kiss, she stared at him and then smiled. She had always dreamed of getting married. Those dreams were put on hold when she was with Angel, but now with Wesley it was different. Maybe she was damned to be the Slayer for her rest of her life but she was going to love Wesley as if she had forever.
"I love you," she murmured before wrapping her arms around him. She held him for a few moments before remembering they had plans. "Not to sound like you, but we really need to get to the bookstore and see what's up with the big bads."
Even though he knew she was being serious, Wesley couldn't help but chuckle when Buffy threatened to kick his arse if he was messing with her and shook his head. He would never do that to her. Ever. "I'm not taking the mickey, love. I really do want to marry you."
After their kiss broke, he returned her smile, running the back of his hand over her temple. He wasn't sure when they'd find time or where they'd get married, but he knew that they would. They'd make the time. They'd find the place. And it would be everything they wanted. This was their life together, and it nothing else mattered.
"I love you too," he murmured, holding her close and resting his head to hers. He would have been content to stay there for the rest of the day until she reminded him that they had to go to the bookstore. They definitely needed to do that. And he needed to find a shop where he could find Buffy a ring. Even if she couldn't wear it when she was slaying, he wanted her to have one.
Gently nudging her off of him, Wesley went back to the bathroom and grabbed some flannels, bringing them back and using them to clean both of them off. Once he had, he headed to the closet to get some clothing since it wouldn't due for them to go out naked.
"Is it still raining or has it finally stopped," he asked as he pulled a shirt and pair of trousers off some hangers.
